If you are after colour that pops, loud colour, then you cannot go past the impressive BoomBox Mix of Vinca. Vinca plants (also know as the Madagascar Periwinkle) have traditionally been grown for a range of medicinal applications including treatments of coughs, colds and sore throats as well as a range of infections. In more recent times, more modern cultivars have been developed to provide stunning floral displays on exquisitely exotic plants. The variety Vinca BoomBox Mix produces spectacularly bright flowers in cheerful tones of red, pink, white, purple, coral with several bicolour variants. The stunningly bright flowers are contrasted against deep green glossy foliage on the compact plants, producing a very elegant and classy garden specimen. Vincas are commonly grown in mass-plantings where they provide beautiful feature colour, and can also be grown easily in pots. The brilliant flowers of Vinca BoomBox Mix are amongst the largest of all the Vinca varieties and are sure to impress everyone from the most experienced garden critics through to beginners. This variety is famous for producing particularly long-lasting floral displays on relatively compact plants, unlike some of the more traditional heirloom varieties that are often quite scraggly in appearance. Vinca BoomBox Mix is an improved selection of the species of Catharanthus roseus.
