Pea Sugarsnap Climbing Seeds

Inc. GST + FREE Shipping

The Pea Sugarsnap Climbing is a very popular pea variety that produces stringless juicy pea pods 8 - 9cm in length that are suitable as both green peas (with shell) or shelled. The pea plants need to be trellised as they grow up to about a metre at maturity, and will produce profusely for several months.

This variety is a favourite for the home vegie-garden, as it is easy to grow, so the kids can get involved, and best of all, the harvested beans are highly nutritious.

The Pea Sugarsnap Climbing is often grown as a companion plant in vegie-gardens with Nasturtium and Sweetpea plants (see photo in gallery). For details on Nasturtium and Sweetpea varieties supplied by Climbing Fig™, please visit our store.

(Sugarsnap is a species of pea, Pisum sativum which has been used as a food crop since ancient times).
