Cyphomandra Colombian Tamarillo Seeds

Inc. GST + FREE Shipping

Very few things can be grown in the garden that are quite as exotic as a Tamarillo. Originating from the Andes in South America, Tamarillo fruits capture the imagination (and taste buds) of all who have the pleasure of tasting these interesting fruits. Of all the Tamarillo varieties commonly grown, Cyphomandra Colombian Tamarillo is one of the most rewarding, as it is a very high-yielding variety that produces very large bright red fruit, which actually taste the way Tamarillo fruit should, sweet, mildly acidic pineapple flavour and some wild tang! Fragrant, sweet and juicy with a smooth texture, unlike the rubbery pulp of some of the imported varieties (that is if you can even find them on the shelves)!

The variety Cyphomandra Colombian Tamarillo is an early fruiting variety, which is both long-lived, and a strong producer, which is sure to provide an extremely rewarding experience for any gardener, not to mention the kids will have lots of fun picking their own Tamarillo fruits. Cyphomandra Colombian Tamarillo will require a sunny spot in the garden and enough room for the plant grow as they can grow up to 2m+. Cyphomandra Colombian Tamarillo is a modern cultivar, therefore has improved disease-resistance ensuring the plants remain healthier for longer.

Great product.

Planted about 20 seeds in seedling mix in an egg carton sitting on my kitchen window ledge and at the moment looks like I have around that number bursting thru the soil. Very quick to germinate. Absolutely thrilled.

Dissatisfied

I bought a packet of these seeds and none of them germinated. It was a total waste to me
