The variety Celery Tender Crisp is a relatively new variety of Celery that is becoming increasingly popular for its stringless stems. We all know what to use Celery for, lots of healthy meals and snacks, however nothing is worse than getting the string from a stick of celery caught between your teeth, and it always happens at dinner parties! Back to the virtues of Celery Tender Crisp, this variety is also as its name suggests a tender and crisp variety that has a great crisp texture and a relatively mild nutty flavour. This variety is generally resistant to common pests and diseases (including thrips and smut) that typically affect vegetable gardens and remain harvestable (do not go to flower) for an extended duration.
